These illustrated GIFs were created for the Mexican beer "Estrella Jalisco" by the production company Unicorns & Unicorns. The campaign featured six Los Angeles-based Mexican and Mexican-American artists and designers from various fields, who were asked to create artwork that reshaped views on Mexican identity for an online ad. This campaign was particularly meaningful as a response to former President Trump’s negative remarks about Mexican immigrants. I produced a set of animated GIFs showcasing six distinct Mexican and Mexican-American women to highlight the diversity within the Mexican diaspora and challenge racial and ethnic stereotypes.
